What has the tax cut really done for the economy?

Washington Post

The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin raises the the question “What has the tax cut really done for the economy?” She offers several indicators that the plan does little to drive in the economy. In fact, she cites a Bloomberg report that predicts a 26% chance of recession within a year.
She warns her colleagues on the right against nostalgic economic policies that do more harm than good. As Rubins puts it:
“It’s no coincidence that the biggest proponents of the Trumpian economic approach are in their 70s — and/or hail from the big Wall Street banks. A fossilized economic outlook, combined with economic self-interest, gives us a huge deficit, yawning income inequality and very mild growth.”
